1. About LabSift

LabSift is a browser-based prototype currently in private testing. It extracts candidate laboratory results from PDFs and images so qualified healthcare professionals can review selected values and prepare them for clinical documentation.

LabSift is not a registered company. It is developed and operated by Nicole Pyra as an individual, based in Zürich, Switzerland. These Terms apply to your use of LabSift during this testing phase.

2. Clinical use

LabSift supports clinical documentation only. It does not interpret results and does not provide diagnostic or treatment recommendations, and it does not replace professional judgement. The original laboratory report remains the clinical source at all times. Check every selected test name, value and unit against the original report before recording it anywhere.

3. Who may use it

LabSift is intended for qualified healthcare professionals and authorised staff participating in private testing. You are responsible for having permission to process each report you upload, and for following the professional, confidentiality and information-security requirements that apply to you.

4. Privacy and your device

Reports are processed locally in your browser. They are not uploaded to or stored on any server. You remain responsible for the security of your device, your clipboard and the patient record into which verified results are pasted. 5. Acceptable use

Do not use LabSift unlawfully, process reports without authorisation, interfere with the service, introduce malicious material or present its output as clinical interpretation. Do not record any output that you have not personally verified against the original report.

6. A prototype in testing

LabSift is an early-stage prototype. PDF extraction and OCR can omit or misread information, some documents may not be supported, and the tool may change, break or become unavailable without notice during this phase. It is provided for evaluation purposes only, without warranty of any kind, express or implied—including as to accuracy, reliability or fitness for a particular purpose.

Nothing in these Terms excludes any right or responsibility that cannot legally be excluded.

7. Ownership

LabSift’s software, branding and content belong to Nicole Pyra unless otherwise noted. Open-source components remain subject to their own licences.

8. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Switzerland and the canton of Zürich, subject to any mandatory protections that apply. Where legally permitted, the competent courts are those of Zürich.
